Anyone not got their tree up yet?

We have a tradition of doing it Christmas Eve night if I am not working in the evening. We like to do it as a family and DP sometimes doesn't finish work until 3pm and I start work at 5pm. If I am working we do it the Sat/Sun before Christmas so the earliest would be the 18th. I don't really get into the Christmas spirit until the children have broken up from school. I think it all gets a bit boring and takes the excitement out of if if you start with all the Christmas festivities too early on. In RL I seem to be in the minority with this view though.

Definitely in the minority but I agree. We put ours up last night. If I'd have done it three weeks ago like most of my neighbours, I'd be sick of it now, but instead, I'm enjoying it! :)

It's up but still naked! Hoping to do in morning before next shift at Cridis shelter - if I actually get to sleep sometime soon that is!!

I remember someone on here posting that their Christmas Eve tradition was going to pick a tree to be cut down, then putting on christmas songs and putting up the decorations, making mince pies and reindeer food and then putting the tree up after the first star had appeared in the sky. Then having dinner, bath, settling down to watch a christmas film before bed with homemade hot chocolate, doing santas plate, christmas story, then bed. It sounded so lovely I have tried to do that every year since.

Just put it up today but there was a flash and a bang as I turned the lights on. Have reserved some to collect from Argos in the morning.
