Christmas fruit and nut biscotti! Really easy, looks and tastes great. I've made a big batch to give as gifts. Recipe is on the bbc website - Google Christmas biscotti. Yum!

for dessert-like items.....

-blueberry muffins (for Christmas morning)
-mini cheesecakes
-sugar cookies (with the kids)
-Apple oval (needs to be made Christmas Day for Christmas Eve dessert - it's kind of an Apple cinnamon roll type thing)

No mince pies (I can cook them but they never work at Christmas)

Cupcakes with pale blue icing and The Snowman cases#Fairy cakes in The Snowman cases with snowflake sprinkles

Chocolate cornflake cakes (OK , not cooked Grin )

There will be more baking but I haven't decided what else yet. DC's want to make jam tarts for Santa so that's easy enough.

I planned on making
Peppermint creams (not baking exactly but yummy)
Gingerbread biscuits
Choc n orange cupcakes
DM's bday cake (Probably chocolate sponge cake with vanilla frosting)

I am doing:

Pavlova
Orange and dark choc shortbread
Tiramisu cake
Red velvet cupcakes for my sister who's a nurse to bring to work Christmas day
Chocolate cake for a birthday
White choc and strawberry cake for another birthday

Also need suggestions for something fabulous and impressive that can be made 23rd or 24th and will keep until 27th.

Tonight I spent 3 hgurs in the kitchen baking for a party tomorrow. I made:

Millionaires shortbread
Mince pies
Gingerbread biscuits
Caramelised onion and cheese tartlets
Tomato and brocolli quiche

I have lots of salads etc to throw together tomorrow but most of it is ready.

Shortbread stars for Santa........that's it! Oh and the kids want to make a sleigh out of mini rolls, choc fingers, Jaffa cakes, skittles and candy canes (but that doesn't count, as no baking involved, just lots and lots of mess!)
I have no idea how to make this btw, just going with the flow.......

I 3rd lazymummy with the christmas biscotti. Easy, looks good, tastes great and keeps for ages. I have made eccles cake mince pies (in the freezer). Over the next couple of days I'll bake 2 fruit tea loaves (from the goodfood website), bread, a yule log and a cheese and onion slice (also from GF website). Maybe a gingerbread house too....
