Present suggestions, please?

I've had a quick scan of this section and can't see any similar threads but I apologise if this has already been covered.

I've just had a conversation with my sisters and mother about what I had bought for two family members and all three have bought virtually identical gifts to me so I'm back to gift buying!!

The first is my BIL. Everyone has bought him cheese/chutney/crackers/slate to put it all on. He's in his 40s, doesn't really have any hobbies that would help with gift ideas. He does like a drink (and cheese!!) and works outdoors quite a bit. I have recently learnt to crochet and did think about making some thick socks but is that a bit shit? The alternative is a bottle of JD but he'll likely get a couple of bottles from other family members!!

The second is bil's father. He's in his 70s. He usually gets lots of cheese and booze, too.

Any gift suggestions?
