My fall back present for most people is a posh scrapbook from paper chase with a message inside about filling with memories etc. people are so obsessed with taking photos they should be easy to fill.

I did get asked this question in smyths today "what do 10 years old girls like these days...apart from their leg over and a bag of chips" from a Middle Ages man.
I was like this and muttered something about frozen.

Dd (nearly 11) says all stationary/arty supplies, Harry potter, hunger games, diary of a wimpy kid/dork diaries, nail varnish, lipbalms. Loom bands are out according to her classmates.

We bought stationery today for an 11th birthday party (well, gaggle of 11 and rising 11 yo girls at Pizza Express) DD says everybody loves interesting stationery. For her it would also be Minecraft, Moshi Monsters, anything kitten or fox related, things she can clip and hang off her school bag, chocolate and weird socks.

My dd loves stationary. A tin of pencils and a A4 drawing book is one of my standard presents.
