Cinema film - which to choose?

Opinions please. Taking my daughter to the cinema with a group of friends on her birthday. Sadly two of them have seen Paddington. So my choices are Get Santa at 11am (seems a bit early) or Elf in the afternoon (seems a shame to watch an old hat film).

Which one do you reckon? The group haven't seen either. Or there's Polar Express.....

They're eight and nine by the way.

I'd take them to see Paddington anyway.

It is all about the "event" of going out with friends for a birthday, and they can ooh and ahh and say "watch out in this bit" etc...

or at our local cineworld, Night at the museum 3 would be our new film of choice, or the Annie prescreenings, or the newish Tinkerbell, or the Frozen singalong or Nativity3 (ours has loads of Christmas films on from today onwards)

We've seen Get Santa and dd and I enjoyed it a lot. It will be getting on for 1pm by the time it's finished which is a good time if you are doing food afterwards.
