We are visiting family for a big Christmas Eve lunch so I'd planned a lighter cocktails and canapés type evening when we get home. We have 8 adults and kids in bed smile we love cooking and fancy food but out of practice since kids in tow. Very foodie family. What are your foolproof canapés? Probably 5 or so different things that are a real treat, seafood things, fancy gaspacho etc. thanks!

I saw some disposable canapé spoons in Tesco if you don't have any.

I like filo squares doubled up to create a parcel, filled with cranberry and brie.

Medjool dates cut in half, de-stoned, and filled with creme de saint agur cheese. Very easy and doesn't need cooking.

These are all sounding fabulous. Especially those that free up the oven!
