Clothes for a baby born doll?

Ok, so this may be an odd question but we've bought DD a doll for Christmas and she would probably like something to dress it in. However the actual doll clothes are quite pricey and hideous. Could you use normal baby sleepsuits (maybe in the smallest size) or would they be too big?

We got lots of newborn clothes for DD's doll from charity shops but to start with just get a few supermarket bits.
I agree that dolls clothes are stupid prices.

Depends on which size baby born is - there are a few different sizes!!!

Baby Annabel fits "early baby" fairly well, so once size down from newborn, however our Chou Chou doll was much smaller and def needed dolls clothes!

We used to dress ours from the NCT sales!!!

Dolls clothes prices are ridiculous! My DD is getting a new Annabell Doll so I bought a dress for her stocking, I couldnt believe it was 10! Great tips about the Early Baby Size clothes from Asda, will go there next time!

I also picked up my DD a new Dressing Gown from BHS, there Amelia range of PJs and Dressing Gowns all come with a dolls size of the same. So she will have a matching dressing gown for her dolly. They were on offer this week so 12 for the 2.

Thank you, it's the interactive doll so it's 43cm. It's the first time dd has ever shown any interest in dolls so am loathe to spend a fortune!

The newborn range at primary are slightly big but do very well for a baby born.
