What's in your 9-10 year olds stocking?

I don't often do a stocking for DS (10) and last year he commented he'd have loved one... I have no idea what to put in. Don't want to put useless tat in it.

Lego minifigure and chocolate coins I have thought of. What else? Ideas please! [santa]

notebook
pen or pencil (this year it's a stacking multi coloured snowman felt tip thing)
memory stick for carrying homework
scarf
gloves
cheap watch
flannel
satsuma
chocolate coins
cadbury's elf or freddo.

Erm, mind has gone blank now, but they have large pillowcases rather than stockings so they fit quite a lot of things in!

My kids do a treasure hunt every day as an advent calendar in place of a stocking - they've already had

desktop drum kit - went down well
magnetic sculpture
splat snowballs
pin art
jelly bean race game
wooden santa racing ladder thing
doctor who top trumps
Punch pens
Plasma ball - love it
Magic 8 Ball

To come - motion controlled sweet dispenser, jelly bean dispenser, cd hovercrafts, harmonica, Simpsons Cludeo, those christmas trees that grow crystals, poopin elf and snowman, newtons cradle, electronic coin bank

Prize, mine love them.
We've had all the colours and this year I've bought ds a penguin one, the gold sparkly one for one ds and the pink one for the other.
I'd just say to break off what you want them to use, though it can all e wrapped back up even if it gets wet.

Small lego set
Giant party popper
Stick on moustaches
led bike valve
mini microscope
fart putty
motorbike badge
chocolate coins
tube of sweets
biscuits
toothbrush
bubble bath
tree decoration
shiny coin

I don't like tat either but tbh it's ds' favourite part of Christmas so I try to get disposable tat as a compromise. DS is a bit younger but I don't think a 9/10 year old would be too old for anything listed there, the ones I know wouldn't be anyway.
