I need to prepare Christmas crackers for our book club Christmas dinner, all fun women. Needs to be cheap, cheerful and fun. Any suggestions please?

Miniature spirits? Or decant some sloe gin into tiny bottles.

Or a small hotel chocolat choc?

For crackers on Christmas Day I have got chocolate sprouts from M&S and racing wind-up santas from Amazon.

A winning lottery ticket would just about do the job. Grin

Maxfactor do tiny bottles of nail varnish, which might be good.
Personally though, I'd like a miniature bottle of Amaretto, or maybe a Freddo bar.

I'm doing my own crackers this year again. I've bought them on the go crackers website, but john lewis sell them too.

The ones that I've bought are quite long and fat, and the cracker is part of the Christmas present for the recipient, albeit that it will be on the tabble. So I have bought some decent stuff. Molton Brown did 25% off at the weekend, so I bought a set of 12 x 50 ml body wash in all different colours so I will put one each of those, a couple of celebrations chocolates and a scratchcard. The younger children will have a toy car instead of the bubbles. The cackers came with a snap, joke and hat.

Other things I thought of were nail file, nail clippers, miniature spirits, miniature nail varnish, lipstick, keyring.

Packets of seeds are good, vegetables, herbs or flowers

Crabtree and Evelyn do miniatures of their hand creams that just about fit when I did them last year.
