My dm is in her fifties and I've no idea what to get her for christmas

What is everyone getting their dm so I can steal some ideas

My DM is also in her fifties, I'm getting her a bottle of slow gin from the Christmas market and a voucher for us to go for afternoon tea.

Yes, Apple do it but don't expect a lot off an ipad (think it was about £30/40 quid last year) think the discount on macs is a little better. John lewis have already said they will price match and you get a longer warranty of you buy from them. I'm buying myself an ipad this year so am waiting until Friday although I don't know who I will be buying it from yet.

I've got DM a photo book with photos of all the grandchildren in from Vistaprint. Photobox also do them and they're hard backed. Also got a Tassimo machine but that's a joint present with DF!

Mine is getting PJs, cosy socks, a puzzle and new chopping boards (which I know she wants!) then in her stocking from me there'll be a trivia game, chocolate coins and flavoured popcorn

Something lovely from M&S which she will return and buy several not-so-lovely Per Una "bargains" with during the sales.

In my family we call this a "fabric gift token".

Mine is in her 70's and I like to buy lots of little things so she has loads to open because my dad is crap and just gives her money.

I've got her a 3 month Chat magazine subscription, crocs, slippers, a jumper, a top, thorntons special toffee, and a cheapy Avon perfume.

I'm getting my DM tickets to see Magical Mozart By Candlelight at the theatre. Its at the end of January. I'm also taking her for dinner before the show, and I'm getting her a Mozart cd to open on the day Smile

I'm still laughing at 'fabric gift token' .

These are lovely , present idea theft is happening as we speak Grin .

Unfortunately I can't get her tickets to anything as she has bad anxiety if she drives or is driven more than about 15min away from home .
