I am hosting christmas for the first time this year and due to budget I'm going to get a frozen turkey.

Does anyone have any recommendations of the best one to get?

We have asda frozen turkey and they are always lovely, hardly any water comes out when defrosting.

Don't get Bernard Matthews, we had one of his from Sainsburys a few years ago and after it had defrosted we were left with a very skinny bird.

As long as you cook it well it will be fine, we had a fresh turkey one year and it was no better than the frozen one from asda, my mum always cooks them well so the turkey is juicy and not dry.

The Morrisons frozen free range turkey came out very well in last year's Good Housekeeping 'best buys' test.

Aldi do a stuffed crown covered in bacon for £9.99. It's really fab. Serves 8. I normally get an expensive M&S free range, organic, plucked by angels kinda one and the Aldi one beats that hands down.

We got the Morrisons free range last year and it was nicer than the fresh ones we've had before. Getting it again this year.
