Dd1 has just turned 7 and I think she would love a magic set. I've been looking at the Djeco ones.

Are there are particular ones anyone would recommend?

Lurking for answers as I think my DS would like one too.

I looked at these for my ds soon to be 7, I have no idea how hard they are so I am reluctant to spend lots of money on them but they look lovely ! So tempted, just don't know if he will be able to understand how to use them ?

We bought this one last year

It is really nice. We also have a Djeco magic set which is a one item only thing (a sword), the Djeco thing cost about £14.

I would really recommend the Melissa and Doug Deluxe set, good value and nicely constructed.

The melissa and doug one looks lovely.

I also like Djeco but only as a small side gift, for fun....the melissa one looks more main ish present to me.

We got the Melisa and Doug one last year too. I think it's great for that age. Very happy with it. Some things which can be done immediately, and a few others which take a little bit more practice.

I've just noticed that the M&D magic set is a lightening deal on Amazon at about 1.50pm today.
