An elf hat.

He's 3.5. I guess it's the sort of thing he imagines FC would find easy to come by.

I bought DS a cute elf hat from Next if you were looking for one.

One year I think when DS was three he asked for chocolate coins. I went a bit mad and bought every type of chocolate coin London had to offer.

Dd wants a yoyo. Shes only just three so I cant imagine she has the capability to operate one, but Ive got one never the less. She even specified a lady bird one (god bless Wilkinsons!!)

Dd asked for a large cardboard box last year. She was 7, so well out of toddler-stage, and the FC we went to see was obviously somewhat perplexed that she didn't want anything in it.

Ds2 Is 3 and has asked for the campsite entrance barrier from the playmobil ad. Playmobil were fantastic and sent me the spare parts numbers so I could order from their site!

Apparently the nursery knows of the chocolate milk request. Any day now I expect to be taken aside and told about the help they can offer if we're struggling this year

Makes you realise how little of the excitement is really about the presents and more about the general anticipation and fun...cardboard boxes, chocolate santas, coins and milk.

Yes, fantasticmrsfox, a reminder to cherish these times when they have simple pleasures, but there is something quite nice about a water carrier request at 10 too, practical and active

My 3yo DS has told everyone that he wants Father Christmas to bring him a "poo poo doggy". Lovely. Can't wait to see father christmas' face in a few weeks when he tells him that!

my Ds then aged 5 asked for a Father Christmas hat - a proper one eg the one with the bobble !

We got a beautiful one from Toys R Us - red velvet with a pom pom & he loved it .

This year its a rubix cube. Am not looking forward to the day when its money or a PC (!)

My DS has in previous years asked for. Back scratcher and another year a round plastic tray. Easily pleased!!

DS who will be 4 just before Christmas sang a song the other day while throwing stones into a puddle - it went something like this...

'Father Christmas I want Poo and wee wees and bums and poo in your head and weee and winkies and a fancy pants toothbrush'

My Dsis (aged about 6) once asked for a cellotape dispenser and Dad bought her a very smart one from an office supplies shop.
Then as an added bonus he promised to always keep it stocked up with celletape.

For the next 2 years every craft project was cellotape based. Where other kids would made e.g: a plane by cellotaping cardboard wings onto a toilet role tube, Dsis would sculpt a plane entirely from cellotape
She developed a special technique of folding the cellotape in on itself and then wrapping more cellotape around it to form magnificent cellotape masses in different sizes and shapes.

It worked out quite expensive for Ddad in the end.

When DS2 was 3 or 4, he announced that all he wanted for Christmas was a log lorry. Amazingly I found one for about £3 in a Poundstretcher type shop, full of plastic logs and everything. It was a huge hit.

We did wonder whether he'd been watching our Twin Peaks dvds.

The 2.5 yr old jus wanted yellow socksasr Christmas. Nothing until about 2 weeks before Christmas, then it was only yellow socks. Cue mad dash round town trying to find yellow socks in toddler size!
