Mine are hearing The Pogues Fairytale of New York on the radio, and when they have the sachets of gingerbread lattes for sale in the shops, so I can make them at home.

Usually when I watch "Fanny Craddock cooks for Christmas", but I watched it really early this year so it didn't really hit the festive spot.

Probably this year it'll happen when I go Christmas shopping day with DH.

DHs birthday. It's on the 4th December so that needs to happen before I get festive.

Not that it stops me buying pressies, I'm all ready :)

Fairy tale of New York is a very significant sign for me, also when the tree goes up.

Christmas trees up and carols on in hotels. Usually reasonably well into December before that happens here, as it's a Muslim country.

And usually our wedding anniversary which is mid-Dec is when we start being Christmassy at home, but I'm away for most of the time between anniversary and actual Christmas so it'll have to be early this year

One year I ignored Christmas so long it was upon me before I knew it and I was very unprepared.

Now its Christmas as soon as D2's birthday is over. That's mid November. Seems early but I would never get everything done if I didn't accept it early and get my arse in gear.

One day the DC will be grown and moved out and then I can go back to blissfully ignoring it until the 20th Dec Grin

The Coco Cola advert or the Radio Times. I've not seen either yet.

Our town have turned on their lights already, and that's too early even for me!

As a kid I though it was always there, I was very sad when I found out it wasn't Sad

I live outside the UK and I have two children who are young adults who live in the UK. I know it's Christmas when I see them walk through the arrivals lounge of the airport, mid-December when they fly out to be with us for two weeks.

I'm counting down the days now. Grin

The first time I see the coca-cola advert in December. It doesn't count if I see it in November. But the first time I see it in December, then I know it's Christmas.
