Twelve Days of Christmas Ideas

I've decided that rather than big up Advent, I'm going to do some sort of 'thing' each day of Christmas. Not in a massive OTT twee yummy mummy Pinterest I'm so blessed sort of way. Mainly to avoid those post Boxing Day blues and also because after the schools break up it can feel like Christmas is all done already.
So at least 4 days are taken up with visiting family and on the final day I will make Three Kings Biscuits. Will also do Family Walk, Family Film, Family Boardgame.
I was thinking of also doing some 'nice things for other people', any ideas welcomed. Maybe getting my DC to look after friends children (under supervision) for an afternoon.
Anyone fancy swapping ideas?

Cinema - sometimes Vue Cinema do their £1.50 deals

Love the idea of your DC helping to look after friends DC, You could take them to the park, depending on the age of your DC/their DC , they can let off steam while their parents get some child free shopping time ( probably much appreciated)

Steam Railways- we used to book Santa Specials on steam trains.

Places like Bluewater do a Winter Wonderland themed Fairground - we used to go there when DC were younger. Hyde Park WW is mega busy)

We couldn't do walks in woods because my DD used to be terrified of dogs, but there were places where dogs had to be on leads that she was better in. Then hot chocolate in the cafe,

Shopping Trip to wander round , not to queue and carry huge bags (that all goes on behind the scenes by me), but looking at lights, buying a couple of toys and a Dirty McDonalds grin (for the DC, DH and I are vegetarian)

Thanks, good ideas. I hate shopping but we normally have a 'returning unwanted gifts' shopping trip smile and DC would love a McDonald's.

Go and find a lone granny in your area, and have her round for tea. Make a big fuss of her...
