How do you wrap cellophane around a hamper so it doesn't look like a two year old has done it? Grin Thanks

Read this as 'cellophane wrapping for hamsters'. Was just thinking how cruel

I bought some from Hobbyctaft a while back (can't remember how much it was though)

I put one piece horizontal, another vertically on top (like a + ) and gather it, tie with ribbon.

Yes it does look like a 2yo has done it Silver but it's satisfyingly rustley so I know if they're being tampered with .

Might put some confetti sparkles in between the sheets of cellophane - more to tidy up I know, but pretty.

card factory will be the cheapest, I think.

The Works has a kit...cellophane, bow and ribbon. I think they're 99p

Home Bargains sell it with gift tags. I'm hoping to get some myself this weekend! I've been told it's 89p. You might need a few depending on size of hamper I suppose.

Didn't Aldi sell it last year when they started getting their Christmas stock in, or was it just the rolls of brown package paper? Pretty sure they had cellophane too.

I've seen the Home Bargains one, it's in a pack called 'hamper wrap' I think and had plain cellophane, shredded thick brown paper and a nice brown card gift tag. The pack didn't give dimensions for the cellophane but the packaging pictured what could be a medium-sized hamper at a guess.

Posters on the Christmas bargains threads often mention getting cellophane at Lidl and I think they're getting quite a few festive items in on Mon 3 Nov, not sure about wrap though.

I saw some patterned stuff in local pound stretchers.

I've been in all shops suggested except Hobby craft as don't have one near, none have it in but will keep trying. Failing that I've got a few saved to my amazon wish list.

So thanks again

I always get mine from a florists because you can control how many metres you want. I get charged between 50p - £1 per metre. They also normally have ribbon as well.

I've seen rolls in Paperchase and Rymans in the past week.

Personally I don't use florist stuff because I use it to wrap gingerbread houses and similar, but if any foodstuffs were sealed florist stuff is probably your best bet.

Paperchase do click and collect if you don't want to pay for postage.

I've seen it in Wilkinsons too... They had two different designs in there the other day, and I don't think it was too badly priced.
