I have bought 2 Little live birds for my DDs for xmas. They are 4 and 6.

It was the voice recording that did it for me knowing the girls will have more fun with that feature.
We bought one for my Niece for her birthday in September too. She loved the voice record, as did all the adults! Great fun.

DD1 (5) has a digibird and loves it. DD2 (2) also loves it and will be getting one of her own for xmas. The only problem is DD1 can whistle at hers to make it sing a tune (the tunes aren't any more irritating than of their other electronic tat) but DD2 can't. She can make it tweet but can't whistle long enough for it to sing a tune so she uses the 'whistle ring' thing which is VERY loud and piercing! I regularly hide it so she has to ask DD1 to whistle instead (bad mummy!). We got them on 2 for £15 and it's been a good buy overall.
