Hi,
Our lo came to live with us in June and he will be 2 for his first family christmas. He's already getting very excited and I want to get him some books that we can read and have for years to come so it'll be a tradition.
Could anyone help with both Father Christmas and nativity based ideas?
So far I've thought:
Jolly christmas postman
Night before Christmas

They're so expensive though so if anyone also knows where I can gotta them cheaper I'd be very grateful!

Jesus' birthday party

And when he's a bit older, ,the Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey is fabulous, though I cry as soon as I see it.

Loads of cheaper books at the Book People

The dinosaur who pooped Christmas
Father Christmas needs a wee
The night before Christmas
Christmas poems
Stickman
Gruffalos chold

For when they are older Tolkien's letters from father Christmas

Have a look in your local charity shops, on the works and book people. There are often codes for the later 2.

Enjoy your first Christmas

Dear Santa
Alfie's Christmas
Lucy and Tom's Christmas (dated but still nice)
Pip and Posy The Snowy Day

The Jolly Christmas Postman is a gorgeous book but perhaps better suited to 3-4 yrs+, due to the many components that can be lost/ripped.

Try Amazon for good deals on books.

Hope you and your DS have a wonderful Christmas :)

Aliens love pantaclause
I've just got a book called santas beard from the book people where you can Velcro santas beard onto different people on each page

The snowman

We have lots of random ones I've seen at nearly new sales etc that look nice - my plan this year is that the christmas elf will bring them at some point

The Book People have a nice Christmas Story Collection, 3 books for £4.99 including picture book versions of The Night Before Christmas and the Nativity.
For when he's a little older (4+) The Fourth King by Ted Sieger.
For 6+ Tolkein's Christmas letters as mentioned by PP.
I try and buy one Christmas/ nativity book every year to add to the collection, why not have it as a Christmas tradition rather than buying loads this year?
My younger son loves Father Christmas needs a wee but it's terribly annoying so I'm not recommending it!
