this would be good i don't have this one (yet) but lift the flap would be great for a 2yo, and Sally Lloyd-Jones books are excellent imo!

This is a lovely story. It was bought for DS when he was a baby and it was a real favourite of his. I'm not remotely religious but it gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling smile

This is a beautiful book by the author of Miffy

DD 2.5 loves it and has asked for it at story time all year.

Ooooh - can't believe they are still selling the Dick Bruna Christmas book. It's beautiful.

Also slightly disturbed to find that it's 50 years old (and I have a first edition that we still read every year!)

There's also a gorgeous Dick Bruna nativity set but I've only seen it for sale in the Netherlands (and I had no room in my luggage hmm).

Dd has a lovely one called Little Donkey's Christmas Story - it's a finger puppet book, by Snufflehead Books, which tells the story from the point of view of the donkey, sort of. The puppet is really lovely, and it's a nice, slightly unusual take on the telling of the story, I think,

Massive favourite in our house was Jesus' Christmas Party

book here

It's sweet and funny telling the tale through the eyes of the grumpy inn keeper TRYING to get some sleep. Of course he is won over in the end.

My 3yo dd loves The Nativity by God. Not really, it's by May Eliot. But I think she plagerised most of it. It's traditional and simple and done really nicely.
