We're going ice-skating tomorrow and then on Monday hopefully to Winter Wonderland.

We're cracking open our 2nd huge Christmas pudding this evening, one more left for the night before kids return to school on 5th Jan.

What are you all doing?

oh WOW! That's great.

We have to tone it down a bit due to ds' ASD but we'll go bauble-bargain hunting at the Winter Wonderland or a find a Christmas Market.

Got loads of Mulled Wine too so might start on that tonight and have some every night.

For once, we have no plans. Well, a night in a 4* hotel down the road. We drive past often & DS always wants to stay there but since it's only a couple of miles away, we never have. They had a groupon deal a while ago, so I bought it - one night with breakfast at a posh hotel on the seafront.

Other than that, nothing but I do need something to do as I'm bored at home now.

On a girl's night out for a meal & a few Christmas drinks tomorrow night.

Sunday evening is a drive around with my DD, my cousin and her kids, with a flask of hazelnut coffee, to see all the best decorations and lights.

NYE is a meal with friends and all our children.

Today is Christmas movie day on the couch with a bottle of bucks fizz!

We are relaxing today as dd made it all the way to xmas day evening before coming down with a stinky cold.
As soon as she is better we thought chill factor, Trafford Centre as she loves shopping, then 3 days of playing with her new stuff, no doubt lots of music practice. She wanted to do some xmas day, but I said she could sing and play some xmas songs only.
New Years eve is just us as dh working darn south, the joy of marriage to a musician. Maybe a film and girly night with dd, unless her brothers decide to stay in/ come home for the night.

On New Year's Day in London there is the NY parade. Never been, check Time Out for info, might consider going. Tomorrow is a big lunch for SIL's birthday and some might come back to us after for tea and cake. One day we want to go on the cable car over the Thames again as it was great and includes time hanging around the Milenmium Dome and/or canary wharf. Might go to Borough Market one day and walk along the southbank to Waterloo, depends on the weather. No plan for NYE, if we have the energy we might go to the top if Primrose Hill to watch the fireworks from Central London. Going to Norfolk for 3 nights on 2nd Jan for lots of walks, crabbing, stately homes, fish and chips, nice hotel food and drink etc. Then school starts almost straightaway and I start thinking about my birthday on 25th Jan Grin

Annual family gathering tomorrow evening not at our house, thank god A trip to see the Hobbit movie with the teens, and maybe have a few friends over for drinks during the week. There are various things going on locally for NYE, so weather depending we might go. I need to get out now - being stuck at home for three days is giving me cabin fever - so I think I'll head for the sales tomorrow.

Seeing MIL tomorrow afternoon to exchange gifts. She goes away for Christmas, then again for new year, so tomorrow is it.

Sunday I'm invited to a friend's house for a party.

Monday I may take the kids out to use their voucher for a craft place.

Tues is panto in the afternoon, then seeing the new year in with DH and the DCs.

New year - very quiet.

Most years, we arrange to see friends and do things almost everyday. But after a tough year, I wanted a quiet Christmas, so all we have arranged is a trip to the Panto, a curry evening at home and my daughter has got 18 hours of gym training to fit in (she had last week off, utter bliss!!) and that is it. Usually, we have a million and one things to do, but not this year, and it's surprisingly nice and relaxing Grin

Last night we had dinner and drinks at my Dsis and Bil's house with friends. Today DC's are not due home from my parents until 2pm so DH and I are going for a walk and brunch with the papers and lots of coffee. I am currently awake with a horrid cold and hoping to doze on the sofa for a few hrs first.

Tonight we are watching films with DC's and eating Christmas chocs!

Tomorrow PIL are coming for 'Christmas' lunch (must nip to sainsburys and buy something!).

Monday we have a morning of shopping planned then a late lunch with friends and their DC's too followed by ice skating.

New years eve we have a full house here with first guests arriving at noon... homemade minestrone soup and bread with lots of ham for lunch as I am just doing lots of fizz and tasty nibbles (for 18) in the evening.

New years day will consist of cooking enough pancakes and bacon for hungover guests then out for dinner.

Thursday will hopefully be a duvet/pj day!

Friday DH is back to work for a few meetings so DC's and I will hit the shops then meet him for dinner.

Saturday morning softplay with DC's and friends then other friends over for dinner.

Sunday morning/early afternoon we are going to a christening then home for an early night before everyone goes back to school/work on monday!!!!

I am exhausted just thinking about it... all I need to do now is shift this horrible cold!!!

Nothing in particular planned for today/tomorrow. 2yo DS so doesn't need specific 'entertainment'.We get out every day for a walk and a visit to different parks and coffees etc.

May pop round ILs tomorrow, DS has been sick so we have been home alone most of the holidays. Monday going to friend's house along with 3 others to exchange our secret Santa gifts - I'm very excited!

NYE nothing special, I'm afraid it comes and goes without any hint of celebration is the Conyo house.

2nd-3rd-4th hope to go away for a coupleof days toZaragoza (halfway betweenBarcelona and Madrid). 5th go to watch the 3 Kings go throughtown onfloats tgrowing sweets at to children beforecoming home toa big dinner andthe rest of the presents (we spread them out over two days). 6th relax, play with new stuff. 7th DS goes back to nursery, I'll take down the decorations, then I go back to work on 8th.

Nice to have 6th January still to look forward to and our tree only went up on the 20th, so not sick of it all yet Smile

Today we are going to tackle the weeds in our overgrown allotment (we know how to party). Going to see friends on NYE, would quite like to pop into work at some point..

Should I be doing festive things? Probably should do something nice with the children.. Hmm
