Mine is coming tonight between 8 and 9pm but I've just realised DS will need collecting from a party at 7.30pm, so hoping it doesn't turn up too early or the party overruns!

Well, mine arrived.

Not too bad, no weird subs, they sent much better batteries, drinking straws and puddings than the ones I ordered, so I saved a bit of money there.

Just seems ages since I was sitting up late to bag the slot I wanted - and when I was booking it I thought I'd be way more together by now than I am.

Still have loads of decorating to do, not made any mince pies, the children want to make paper chains, but they are away until Sunday night...

I haven't done a bit of wrapping, we still need fresh vegetables, fruit, salad, cream, etc.

The little nagging voice in my head is getting all high pitched and squeaky, and a bit frantic, and I'm working all weekend !

But at least I have a ham and four packets of bacon

Our pigs in blankets were substituted for breaded chicken bites with BBQ dip... Hmmm yum, that'll go nicely with the cranberry sauce!

I'm not actually cooking the Christmas dinner here this year, but providing the deserts which I will make over this weekend, so thats why I booked a slightly early slot. Plus also needed stuff in for a big family meal tomorrow night, to mark the soltice and also the Christmas Eve buffet.

Managed to get home with DS 10 minutes before the van arrived. Only 1 substitution- loose mushrooms for pre-packed ones so not too bad. Also mozarella bite things for the buffet were out of stock.

The delivery guy was wearing a Santa hat and the DC were acting like he really was the big man himself. "Look, look what he's brought us- lemonade and orangeade! And pringles and dips and chicken dippers and chocloate fingers and everything we always wanted!"

Mine is coming Sunday between 10 and 11am. Last year they substituted all kinds of random stuff so intrigued to see what happens now we have our huge new store

Massive snowman Madeira cake arrived!

DD can't wait to eat it
