I have bought the kids a Hudle for Christmas but had a sudden panic when I overheard one of them chatting about someone elses tablet (a samsung) not being able to 'join game' to an ipad.....I am hoping they have got that wrong and that android tablets can connect to ipads.....thought I'd see if anyone knew for sure that Hudl can 'join game' to an ipad (10") - when playing minecraft, thanks

Sorry, I'm fairly sure that the only device an ipad will "talk" to is another apple product. Apple products run on their own operating system which is not shared by non apple products.

Like taste is right it is a different operating system. Hudl operates on Jellybean while apple is iOS.

Ahh what a shame! I just have to hope lots of their friends get Hudl's too so they can join with them.......thanks for your comments

I should be OK for Minecraft.

My two play on the same server one on an iPad and one on a very cheap Android tab. Occasionally their friend joins in using a Samsung smart phone and that works fine too.

Thank you - when you are not very technical it's hard to know what's what.....sounds like it works for DustyBaubles but others think it shouldn't.......the world was so much easier when kids just played board games and climbed trees!!!!

I think the confusion is more to do with things like 'Face Time' which is Apple only.

Skype and Minecraft PE (pocket edition) are designed to work across platforms. There shouldn't be a problem.

My daughter bought me a Tesco Hudl 2 Xmas past. I had, this Xmas an iPad and I've bn trying to pull all my very important pictures across along with some not so quite important documents via Bluetooth but the iPad won't recognise my Hudl. Need some advice as very important to me xx
