Christmas Eve film....?

Any film recommendations for Christmas Eve afternoon for a nearly 4 year old and a 16 month old (more for the 4 year old) I cannot think of a single one, except the grinch but she is terrified of that film! Not really after a character thing like Mickey Mouse/ peppa. Just a nice happy not too stressful, she is emotional Santa type film. Thanks

My DC are older but love Elf (I think it's unbelievably stupid Grin )

Nativity 1 is good (Nativity 2 less so)

Home Alone but it might be a bit Shock with the burglers

Gruffalo/ Gruffalos Child

Polar Express is lovely, beautifully made

My dd was 4 last Christmas and LOVED Arthur Christmas - great film. She also really like Polar Express.

Muppets christmas carol was ranked #1 Christmas film!

For a 4 year old I would go with Arthur Christmas. Ds is 4 now and loved it last year. I stupidly bought the grinch this week and scared the life out of poor ds. Won't be watching that again.

I would have thought elf was a bit old for a 4 year old. Polar express is lovely though.

DO NOT get the Grinch - DSD watched it when she was 6 and didn't sleep for a week - and she was not easily scared!

We love Fred Claus, Elf and The Muppet Christmas Carol.
I bought Miracle on 34th St last year as DD2 loved the little girls coat on the DVD sleeve, had to explain to her (5yrs old) that it was just a film
And of course Santa was real!
Might get Arthur Christmas or Nativity this year to add to our collection.
None of us like Polar Express, gives me the heebie jeebies.

My dd was 4 when she watched Polar Express and sat enthralled throughout. She's 6 now and we still watch it as well as Nativity, The Snowman, Elf, Jingle all the way, Santa Paws, Jack Frost, Santa Claus the Movie. This year we're getting Arthur Christmas.

The Christmas tradition in our house is to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas (Snoopy) and the Garfield Christmas Special. I've watched them every year since I was a kid, and my son loves them too.
