Large but inexpensive item for dd?

Does anyone have an idea for a 'big box' item for my 4 year old dd which doesn't cost much?

We thought we were done with the dd's presents, but looking at dd1's pile of quite large items (inc desk, stool, lego sets), dd2 items of furby, Barbie, puzzle ball looks small!

Just looking for something to equal out the pile sizes for Christmas morning!
Thanks

How about a cardboard box containing a helium balloon? I did this once for a child of a similar age, and the look on her face when it rose up out of the box was priceless Smile.

Pop up tent?

Has she outgrown happyland? They have a fairly big treehouse down from 50 to £25. Use XMAS20 for 20% off and free click and collect :)

I don't think you need to. Unless younger dd also wanted a desk, she won't care that her sister's present is bigger.

A beanbag or maybe a pop up tent (popped up!). I like the helium ballon idea although I don't fancy your trip to get it filled on christmas eve. Have you ever seen the cardboard playhouses you can colour in yourself?

cardboard playhouses - they even have a rocket! Start around £35. That might be too much for an extra present but you might get cheaper versions on ebay or amazon.

I got each of my DDs the zhu zhu puppies set from tesco that was on the christmas bargains thread- reduced to 7.50 from 30 quid! I was v impressed by how much stuff you get in the set, you could just wrap the big box it comes in for delivery! m.tesco.com/mt/www.tesco.com/direct/zhu-zhu-puppies-value-pack-assortment-colours-styles-may-vary/635-6966.prd

You could fill a big cardboard box up with arts and craft things, pom poms, feathers, pipe cleaners, pencils, glitter glues etc.

I agree it is really unlikely that your DD will notice the difference in size as she will be too busy marvelling at her furby :o

But this play tunnel is only £12 - my DCs have similar and love it!

Could you not put one of her presents in a box, then put that box in a bigger box etc so it just looks bigger?

Wow thank you for all the repliesSmile Really helpful and lots to think about

Part of me really does think she won't even notice as all the gifts she has got are much wanted, but.... Blush

If you don't put the presents into piles under the tree and instead just have them all muddled underneath, then u doubt they'd notice. I wouldn't worry if I were you, but if you really did want to bulk it out a bit, then get something she needs, maybe a dressing gown and slippers, board game or something. They're quite large things.
