What do they do? I looked them up on amazon but the description isn't very descriptive!

Mins are getting them for Xmas too....just had a look at reviews and they get 4-5 stars on all sites so not exactly rubbish reviews! Most bad comments are re sizing so I've got mine to try on their friends!

My DD has got them and lives them. I can see they're not the safest to wear up / down stairs, but in our house shoes aren't worn upstairs, so DDs have the habit of taking them off when going upstairs, and they've naturally extended this to slippers.

I do wish the novelty of stomping in them would wear off though!

My three have them as they asked me for weeks to have a pair! They love them and they have lasted longer than normal slippers! They are pricey but its better than spending more on replacing normal slippers every few months

ds were fab for a couple of weeks then sort of stopped stomping not sure why. don't get used now and cost me 18 quid.

I judt got rid of dd's hardly worn pair. she would trip up and down the stairs wearing them. I dont think theyre safeangry

Oh. Yes it is sad.

Nerfmother Wed 13-Nov-13 21:42:42

Another crap vote here. Two boys, both disappointed . Really bad, effort to wear them, now in a bag in my room. Unloved.

DD2 begged for them for her birthday and as it was one of the rwo thins he'd asked for I got them.
Reviews were rubbish and they are overpriced but she loves them.
Not supportive at all and she is walking to one side on them so if your DD has ortho issues probably not a good idea. I didn't actually realise they were mules till I had them.
They will probably not last very long but I rarely give in to advertising pressure but as it was a one off I'll write it off.

Sad they are so spectacularly shit for so many

woooooooobooo Wed 13-Nov-13 21:37:09

My older dds both had them and I hold them responsible for dd7 falling and breaking her arm. To be fair she was running in them and just slipped out one, tripped and whacked her elbow on the skirting board. Flung them in the bin after that

cazza2878 Wed 13-Nov-13 21:33:50

My dd is after these too - damn those tv adverts!!

TheOneWithTheHair Wed 13-Nov-13 21:32:12

TheLeast why are you sad at the x-post?

SandWitch Wed 13-Nov-13 21:32:04

Just to offer a different opinion - I've just bought them for DD's birthday and she LOVES them. They fit fine and seem to work well. They make a strange 'whoosh' noise as she walks, but no issues with tripping.

DD says that they are the best present ever and that's good enough for me smile

Mittensonkittens Wed 13-Nov-13 21:31:07

They are truly rubbish. Ours didn't work from the start. Hopeless.

Housemum Wed 13-Nov-13 21:29:03

They had some in BHS recently (might still have them if there's one near you) - I thought they looked like they would fall off your feet and be fun for about 30 seconds!

wizzler Wed 13-Nov-13 21:25:55

Thanks everyone .. DD has " special feet" and needs an orthotic in normal shoes... these things just look like a recipe for disaster.

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl Wed 13-Nov-13 21:25:35

sad at x-post

I bought these for ds2 and you are right. They are a trip hazard. Also the mechanism inside, which is like the squashy thing that nurses use when they take your blood pressure, broke within a day. Ds hardly wears them so I wasted my money. sad

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl Wed 13-Nov-13 21:13:43

Worst gift ever

They trip DD up, and the flippy up bit broke on the first wear

Amrapaali Wed 13-Nov-13 21:09:51

Same here, DD had her heart set on them. But the ads didn't look very convincing. You are right, they look dangerous. A few reviews on MN too weren't very positive.

I explained to DD they weren't very safe and she seemed ok with it.

wizzler Wed 13-Nov-13 21:04:55

DD is almost 7 and has asked for Stompeez for christmas.

I can see why she likes them.. they are very cute, but I can only imagine that she is going to fall downstairs / trip up in them.

I am now sounding just like my mother ... has anyone bought Stompeez for their DD, and did she managed to walk in them ?
