Its our first proper xmas this year and I am really excited , what you getting the children and what to do you do to make the day special ?

lecce Sat 26-Oct-13 22:34:22

BeaWheesht Spy manual is called Spy Guidebook by Colin King and is on Amazon. Sorry I can't do links blush. Reviews seem promising and at that price it's worth the risk! I'm hoping it'll be a nice balance of stuff he can do alone and stuff we can do together.

Thanks lecce

Dd1 (4) is getting a bike, lots of doc mcstuffins items and some lego, clothes and some other little random bits and pieces I see that she will find useful

Dd2 (she will be 6 months) will get some baby sensory toys and some new clothes. I will not go overboard like I did when dd1 had her first Christmas

I would love a new laptop I've been dropping hints at my parents and brother but I just get confused looks from them

To be honest I'd be happy with wine

RhondaJean Sun 27-Oct-13 15:25:58

My oldest is 14, she's asked for an electric guitar, a pile of steampunk clothes, band t shirts, Pokemon toys, an original Gameboy ŵith the Pokemon games (I am delighted to have managed to get them from eBay after some hassle) CDs books and DVDs. I've also bought her makeup and beauty products but she knows I do that every year. She's asked for cosmetic contact lenses (cats eye ones) but there is no chance I will buy her them. She's also after another pair of docs and a pair of goth boots but I think I'll let her get them herself out of the money she gets. I'm getting her tickets for one of her favourite bands but she doesn't know they're playing so I'm hoping for a big reaction from them.

It's not so much fun when they are teenagers sad

The littlest is 9 and she's getting nothing on my nerves with her hoarding

Possibly a hudl
Monster high school
Too many monster high, equestria girls and ever after high dolls
A furby
Lots of arts stuff (she loves making things)
Possibly an animation kit
Lego star wars - DH picked can't remember what it is
Monster high party room set
I can't remember to be honest because I've got most of it already and it's packed away!
Clothes, DVDs, CDs and lots of books

They both always get new bedding, pjs, slippers, housecoats and sweets as well.

These threads are always surprisingly educational - I keep going off to amazon to look up stuff I've never heard of grin

But I have to ask, what is the difference between a 'SnapBack' and a regular baseball cap?!

fuzzpig Sun 27-Oct-13 19:57:01

For my DSCs:

DSS (21) lego marvel xbox game, an 'ask me about my ninja' t-shirt (heard about that on mn grin), possibly a Segway driving experience? Or car related stuff if he's bought his by then.

DSD1 (15) not sure - something Asa Butterfield related, maybe converse or something, struggling for ideas this year!

DSD2 (15) manga drawing stuff, geeky hoodie, DVD box sets

Purplerain80 Sun 27-Oct-13 20:22:44

Ds-12 a couple of Xbox games, a new pair of converse, some c-d'd and DVD's,clothes and some books.
Dd-19 months a kitchen, Doc mcstuffins talking doll, Thomas the tank ride on, a couple of the Thomas trains, a tea set for the bath, clothes and some books.
More excited for Dd this yr as she's older and will b able to unwrap her pressie and I got some suprises for Ds that I know he'll love!

NannyPlumForPM Mon 28-Oct-13 16:38:52

Oh I thought a snapback was one of those bracelets that you snap blush

iheartdusty Mon 28-Oct-13 21:26:47

a snap back is adjustable, it has a plastic band with little pegs that snap into holes.

fuzzpig Mon 28-Oct-13 21:34:40

Ah right thanks. So just like the baseball caps when I was a child then. None of those fancy buckles in my day you know wink
