I just made the most of thei extends free click and collect service to get DH a Xmas present as haven't been able to decide what to get until now (still nt sure, but he can always swap it if needs be)

So I now new to wait until 2pm at which point it will be ready to collect.

Do you think it will be rammed?

I'm trying to pick it up on the sly without DH knowing what I'm up to, but he finishes work at 2, so will be difficult to get it home and wrapped without him suspecting it

Why don't you take a gift bag and tissue paper with you, wrap it up in the shop and then leave it in the car boot. Then pop out and collect it first thing on Christmas morning (offer to make the first morning cuppa).

Click and collect are often ready before 2pm - they'll text you when it's ready, fingers crossed! I'd imagine it would quieten down in the afternoon? Although it was taking an hour to get out of the car park of our local JL last week...
