Ok, so it's the 21st ... I have a massive chest infection on antibiotics and feeling rough.
But so much to do! Food shop, wrapping, cleaning, dogs to be walked. Anyone else struggling to function this weekend??
Lets hope we are all better for the day Xmas Wink

Day 6 of the flu here for me and just about managing to stand up after 5 days of being trapped in my bed. The house is full of laundry, the fridge is empty, I have no gift for dh (for Xmas or his birthday Xmas Sad ) but luckily the children's presents are all wrapped and stowed in their Santa sacks ready to go.

I'm going to make lists today of things that must be done/bought and hope for a Christmas miracle. Get well soon wishes to us all Brew

I have no survival tips Xmas Sad I only have a raging headache and cold. DS is currently on 3rd week of hacking chest infection. And now DD has just retired to my bed having out her pyjamas back on and told me she wants to watch a dvd as she doesnt feel well. She now has a temp and a cough that she didn't have 2 hours ago.
Other DD is fine for the minute, but she has the weakest immune system of all of us, she will be next Xmas Sad
This is when I feel angry at all the parents shoving their kids into school the last few weeks of term when they're still unwell and pass their germs about (i know i know, it's irrational but im tired, feel crap and now so do the kids and xmas is going to be shit. For the 3rd year in a bloody row).

How's everyone this morning?
I managed to finish wrapping and sleep last night without the regular coughing and throat pain keeping me awake. But feel awful this morning and got my lovely god daughter today to keep amused also.
Lemon, honey and paracetamol here.
Hoping your all coping.

Feeling poorly too, have sent dh to Waitrose this morning for the Christmas shop, he said it was so bad that people were wandering around laughing hysterically. Have had to buy stuff rather than make and downgrade my expectations but as someone who was brought up in a household where my mother turned into a Christmas Stress Demon I would say nothing matters except that everyone is feeling chilled and relaxed and everyone should help with the dinner - beans on toast served with a smile is better than a full on roast dinner served in an atmosphere of misery.

If you haven't got anyone coming, and your kids are ill/small - why not postpone Christmas day for a few days? No one will notice...

If you've got guests (that you can't persuade to cancel on grounds of your infectiousness) tell them now to come early so they can clean/shop/wrap for you Grin.
