i did suggest these to dm - she is the cook/masher but she said they go all soupy

i use maris piper too, they will go soupy if cooked for too long, bout 35-40 mins is best.

I usually go for Desiree - smooth and fluffy. Same as Delia Grin or if none available had good results with King Edwards. Nowt worse than lumpy mash.

flibber -

its a traditional - ish polish xmas eve dinner - fish mash peas rollmops pirogi i think - rice pud for afters

I recently got one of these potato ricers and its wonderful. Best mash ever! Usually use Vivaldi for roast and king edward for mash (or vivaldi, lovely sweet, buttery spuds)
