I had my first homemade mince pie today. As I had the first bite I thought, yes, this feels like its Christmas now. Wish I'd made them earlier now but kept Mumsnetting instead putting it off.

What makes it feel like Christmas for you?

Until DH finishes work for Christmas. Sometimes this will be 8pm Christmas Eve. Luckily this year it will be the day before Christmas Eve.

Carols on the green on Christmas Eve. Prior to that, it is NOT Christmas (even though I've already eaten my body weight in mince pies!).

Until we break up from work/school on Friday. Can't wait!

The Saturday before Christmas, when we have the village carols accompanied by anyone who plays an instrument and wants to join in. They always have some of the best "hyperventilating" carols to sing, and I feel very Christmassy (and slightly faint...)
