I've just made mulled christmas punch (DH is here today so making the most of the acceptable afternoon drinking period Xmas Grin),
I'm going to wrap my last couple of presents and watch Home Alone, and DD is enjoying sneaking candy canes and chocolate from the tree thinking I haven't noticed!

I am actually Home Alone and about to go upstairs and pull out all the presents I've hidden over the last few months and wrap them (before anyone discovers my hiding places!)

Happy birthday Little HoneyDragon. It's mine too.

I always seem to get into the Christmas mood on my birthday so I've been putting up decorations and sewing a snowman. I'll be finishing off teacher presents and writing more cards later.

Took dd to Build A Bear in Milton Keynes today. She seems to think people lay on the Xmas lights just for her!

Had our staff Xmas lunch today. Was very surprised to be given a present as I've been off sick for ages and hadn't picked a name for secret Santa. Lovely food too!

DH is out with DSS tonight - watching the hobbit, so I will be spending the evening wrapping his presents, and listening to my new Libera Xmas CD.

I've bottled the toffee vodka and made dipped marshmallows and 2 types of chocolate bark. Plus bagged it all up for hampers.

Thanks everyone.

HoneyDragon in my family my two brothers, me and my mum all have birthdays between 11th and 24th. It always seemed like a month of celebration when I was younger. I loved it! Now it's a bit of a chore. Xmas Grin

I think it's lovely your dd thinks the lights are just for her.

Chocolate bark? Sounds amazing, even though I have no idea what it is!

SantasNaughtySack

Chocolate bark is easy.

Melt chocolate

Pour onto some greaseproof paper make into a rough oblong but don't make chocolate to thin (or thick) then top with dried fruit and nuts if wanted. Let it set then cut into bits. Stuff in face as it got fruit then it healthy Xmas Grin.

I just hung the stockings on the mantel, I tidied (very Christmassy), I'm lighting a Christmas scented candle & wrapping a few boxes of chocolates as token gifts later.

I'm also planning on writing my resolutions and 25 before 25 list later & writing the festive shop list for Friday.

I wish we were going to Winter Wonderland, however.
