Christmas drinks/ tea ?

Any suggestions please for getting local friends together over Christmas? Even in my close group of friends there are 14 children. Happy to host here but thinking of suggesting a two hour slot, say Sat 22nd 4.30 til 6.30 and doing snacks for adults and sandwich tea for kids. Or maybe new years day, bacon sandwiches 10.00 -12.00? I dont want to create loads of work but it would be nice. Many thanks

The bacon sandwiches sound good to me but people may have family round on New Years Day and not be able to come. I think the snacks and sandwich tea for children sounds great on the 22nd.
