So far we have:

  • Lightning McQueen toothbrush
  • little chocolates shaped like cars
  • satsuma

I'm drawing a real blank. What are you putting in your toddler's stocking? (No bubbles or crayons - they cause tantrums!)

Ds is getting a small double decker bus, a Santa hat, stickers, some bells, a t shirt, a mini pack of chocolate buttons, a bauble to hang on the tree with his name on it and a little bird which tweets when you hold it in your hand.

Small pack chocolate buttons. Big wooden whistle, stress ball of the world, small teddy, lunch box (suitcase style) to put the bits in. I'm leaving out the satsuma because she'll try and eat it withte skin on.

Practical things like flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, Thomas cup.
Crafty stuff: kids scissors, colouring book, stickers, spoon making kit thing, activity book, pens, pencils, stickers, spiral art thing
Games / puzzles: snap game, Fireman Sam game, a couple of puzzles
Also: few books (annual, Peppa Pig books), few cheapy bits (glider plane, harmonica) and glow up dinosaurs
And chocolate, satsuma etc ...
(I do go a bit overboard on stockings, but I never buy stuff for them the rest of the year, birthdays aside, so I see it as an opportunity to stock up on bits and bobs)

Great ideas here, thanks, will explore Asda tomorrow for wee bits, I know he really wants a pair of scissors actually so that's one inexpensive thing sorted. :)

DD is probably having;

Hairbands
A notepad to scribble in
A brave purse from the Disney store which she loved so much she sobbed when we had to go so I hope she likes it on Christmas morning
Some playdough
A new pullback and let go car
A new toothbrush
Bubble bath
Stickers
Colour with water book (useful and harmless for the occasionally tedious family visits in Christmas Day)

She can't have dairy or soya so hoping to can find something sweet and fun for her stocking.

Socks, a magic flannel, crayons, mini colouring book, stickers, chocolate buttons, cookie cutters and a wooden spoon (baking obsessed at the mo), satsuma and a Snap card game.
I did find a real old-school top in a charity shop, but suspect it'll go under the tree..
