That's an impossible question to answer without knowing your income/household expenses etc etc. The amount people spend on their childrens' presents varies hugely (particularly on mumsnet Grin) - some people will think a few hundred pounds is an appropriate amount, others will find a perfectly nice gift in a charity shop for a few pounds.

I personally wouldn't give a child their own TV in the bedroom, but plenty of parents do.

Sorry, not much help, but the only thing I would say is not to get into debt with your present buying. Smile.

Dd1 (8) has her own tv in her room, its only used for DVD's and only at the weekend or if she's poorly.

Its up to you how much you spend, i buy mine what they want as long as its something that will get used enough (get my moneys worth out of).

Depends on income. Don't get into debt for the sake of one day.

I actually admire people who spend less than £100 per child or better still less than that for multiple children! I'd love to be like that. I can't even budget so I actually have no clue what i've spent on 3 DC but put it this way its more than £100 each now.. I just get carried away. I think people who just get each DC one pressie have it right, I long to be like that!
