Quality artificial trees?

Preferably online as no car to transport. Does anyone know where I could find a nice fake tree that looks real(!) and isn't really tacky looking (would prefer real but DH's allergies/asthma don't like them) and doesn't cost the earth? Any brands that are renound for their quality? Looked in Ikea and Asda today and wasn't impressed. I am after two actually, one 5' and one 7'.

I was going to suggest homebase too. I bought one last year, reluctantly as i prefer real, but found an acceptable one there. Wait for one of the deal weekends if you want a better price.

B&Q had a lovely 6 foot one for £30. I'm really fussy with my trees and they have to look real. But this one was really nice!

I'm the same I have always had real but are sick of it being dead by the big day! Next have some nice looking artificial ones so I will probably get one from there

I have a artificial one for the upstairs sitting room (gave up lugging a real tree up and down). It is fab but was expensive (over £200). I got if from homebase, and they did slash the price to about £100 in one of the deals weekend, after I had paid full whack obviously!

I think you need to have a look instore and see them in the flesh, and then hover by the computer waiting for a weekend offer to get the best kind of tree at the best price.

Ooh I have a Next near me, will have a look. B&Q won't deliver trees and don't have one near me but Homebase will and they have some half price but it's hard to tell from the photos whether they're any good or whether they'll be all gappy once up. Still, don't look too bad in the photos, will keep hunting!

Anyone heard of 'Kaemingk' for trees? On Amazon and they look quite nice, but not sure whether they're worth the money?

Mine is from Homebase and is bloody lovely, even if i do say so myself.

Is about ten years old and still looks great.

Most of the ones in Homebase looked good actually. Was having a look today. I was looking at the 8ft one that's £80 and the 6ft one that I think is £60. They're supposedly half price, by the time I decide the offer will be over no doubt!!

We have a Homebase one for the same reasons you need one, we've had ours for years now. It was expensive at the time but has been worth every penny as we bought once and haven't needed to buy again so I reckon it's at the point now where it has saved us money.

We did get ours from home base 10 years ago - quite big but seems very good quality. I find how much time you spend on spreading out the branches etc really helps to improve the tree. Takes a very long time in house...
