I had the idea of a glass dome topped cake stand with something tasty inside as a present, but don't know where to get one - can anyone help?

I'm looking for something like this, but plain and preferably cheap!

This is a variation on a popular gift I've given before when I did it with a fairy cake tiered cake stand, but it only worked because I found a fabulous and quality one for ridiculously cheap - £4! Here at tiger for anyone this is useful for this year...

It can be a bit hit and miss, but T K Maxx?

I found a cheap lidless one which is probably nice in clear glass, but its not what I want!

Anyone? Is this not Christmassy enough...

TK Maxx is great for quality kitchen stuff if you have the patience to regularly go in the shop until what you're after turns up. And the discipline to not buy other 'bargains' that you didn't want or need before you went in... I'll check out tomorrow with my fingers crossed!

Honestly, you'd be cheaper buying the Amazon one. By the time you get out of Ikea, you'll have spent a minimum of £60 on tat you don't need

I went just to have breakfast lady week. Nothing else...just breakfast. Still cane home with batteries, a baby sleeping bag, meatballs, gravy, jam and biscuits and a list of Xmas stuff I'm going back for when I get paid next week

Mmm meatballs. I know you're right Harlett, but I want to go!

I've never been to Hobbycraft Pratting, I'll check it out, thank you.

Ooo oooo buy this one from Lakeland and wrap it and the cake up completely in cellophane with a lovely ribbon on the top.

It would look lovely, festive, and they are both reusable and recyclable.

Harlett I'm slightly amazed that you didn't have - 3 pack of scissors and 500 tea lights in your blue bag also.

Come the zombie apocalypse I shall not want for light or craft accessories in my cellar hideout thanks to Ikea!!

Ah, I live 3 miles from an Ikea. If I buy anymore tealights, I will have to dedicate a room solely for their storage. Similarly, those plasic bag clips...hundreds upon hundreds of them clipping all manner of things shut. And I actually had a 3 pack of scissors in my hand and set them back because I didn't 'need' them. This morning, needed a pair of scissors and couldn't find any for love nor money.

Adds scissors to list for xmas shop visit
