I know there's probably been a thread before but I can't find it.

Both DH and my parents are asking what I'd like for Xmas and I just don't know at all.

I had a baby 8 weeks ago so I don't want clothes as I still feel a bit wobbly. Same goes for holiday/event vouchers as not only do we have the baby but also 2 infant school age
boys so babysitting etc can be an issue.

I have a kindle fire which I'm very fond of so I don't need anything in that vein either.

It's also my birthday on the 27th and my mum in particular is very keen to get me a present, no matter how much I say I don't need anything she just says 'it's not about need it's about getting something nice'.

I'd love something nice from my very kind family but just can't think of anything now I'm on the spot! Any ideas appreciated.

Hi Leda
I'm the same, have a birthday a few days before Christmas so always get asked what I'd like and am struggling to think of much
We have a £30 max limit among my family and I've asked my sister for some nice hand cream (boring I know), something luxurious that I would never buy. I'd also like some new perfume

What about a voucher for a local nice restaurant and babysitting voucher so you can go? Hairdressing/beauty salon voucher etc

Could you ask for money or vouchers so that once you are beck to your normal size you can treat yourself to some new clothes. I did that the year my birthday was when I was 34 weeks pregnant. People gve me money mostly (and choccies!), and then when ds2 was about 4 months old I got to treat myself to some new clothes. I also used some ofthe money to treat myself to some posh make-up I wouldn't normally be able to buy when he was about 10 weeks old.

Also watching with interest. Ive got too much stuff already but I'd hate spa days, salon vouchers, costume jewellery or boots gift set type things it would be nice to give the people who are asking some pointers

My parents and DH and I usually combine gifts as DH's birthday is mid December and we (DH and I) have a night away in London and go to the theatre whilst my lovely parents babysit. That's just not going to be possible this year as baby DD is EBF and my boobs nearly exploded when I went to the cinema the other night!

I do like the idea of a mag subscription tho, it would be a nice treat every month. I quite fancy a nice silver bangle though or amazon vouchers to feed my kindle habit.
