Any ideas what to get for an 18 and a 16 year old girl?
I don't know what teenagers are into as my girls are only 8 and 10.

thanks

Nice bath stuff, a new celeb autobiography, sweets, amazon voucher, DVDs, magazine subscription?

16YO DSD likes Soap and Glory toiletries. I have also got her an ITunes voucher.

Getting 18YO DSD an Odeon Cinema voucher + restaurant voucher (for restaurant nearby) for her to have a date night with BF.

The best bet is probably a voucher/gift card of some sort as they will know what they want -and you will get it wrong if you try and buy it Grin - (believe me, she says, as the mother of teenage girls!) Depending on whether they are Primark, New Look or Next girls I would go for one of these, as they can then choose their own clothes/perfume/shoes that they want.

I've given my dniece(19) cash the last few years as she has always been saving for something - new ipod/phone, driving lessions, clothes etc.

ITunes gift card would probably go down well.

Are they city girls?

One of my 15 and 17 yr old dds' favourite gifts for the last couple of years (and it's gone down well when we've done it for their friends too) is a cheap red mug filled with a big Starbucks chocolate coin and candy cane, plus a loaded Starbucks card.

If you want to go for a clothing voucher, my two would always choose Topshop over anywhere else.

I always like the idea of a voucher plus something little that 'goes' with it, so the Starbucks idea as above, or a Topshop voucher wrapped up with maybe a Topshop nail varnish, or a cinema voucher with a bag of popcorn, or a magazine sub with a copy of the magazine etc.

One4all gift vouchers from Post Office are great as you can spend them in lots of places inc Topshop, Boots etc

Ask what's on their christmas list? Or something that comes with a gift receipt so they can exchange it.

They are city girls. We all live in London. The older one just got into Cambridge. She is very studious. The younger one is really into make up, dressing up until that is when her sister got into Cambridge and now I have been told she stays at home all the time studying. Maybe the sister effect is rubbing off on her.

Last year, I got the older one Hmv vouchers and the younger one a makeup book and Boots vouchers. I may email their mum to ask which shops they frequent.

Thank you all for your input.
