Its easy, I can get more for my money, a good range too.

Or is it lazy and rude?

I do it whenever I can and make sure i buy enough to give me a free gift. As long as its stuff people will use I don't see a problem. But then I live receiving smellies at Christmas :)

You will be able to get it cheaper if you shop around, but you have to have the time and inclination.

If you don't then why not! I like boots, they sell nice things and you can get a huge range of stuff. I should think you will be able to get nice presents for eveyone.

Go for it [hgrin]

I work long and random.hours and really dont have time or inclination to trawl shops and websites. Last year I was on Mat Leave and did amazing (but cheap) gifts for everyone - this year I am just too busy to pound the shops.

I like the boots sets, the make up is nice and the alcohol sets. The toys are lovely, you can't go wrong :o

its not rude, but if you're getting that kinda impersonal general gift for someone then might be worth seeing if you CAN get out of doing them at all - I wish I could but unfortunately suggestions of children only gifts are not met well with our rellies (no childless rellies) so we have to keep giving each other crap generic gifts every year - yawn!

Rude because they don't involve much thought, time or effort.

I only buy for a handful:
DM
DF
MIL
FIL & his OH
SIL
DNeice
DStepneice Grin
Dsis
two uncles, one aunt and a grandparent.

I have bought dd some toys.

Thankfully I live in boots-ville, and have two gigantic, two medium sized and one small boots local to me.

This is a great idea and NBU at all. I wish I could do boots stuff for some of my recipients but I don't really do smellies and other sets for anyone. I do think they can be a bit impersonal but you can get so many that you can normally find something to suit everyones tastes or interests (gardening, chocolates, oil and vinegar sets etc) and they are useful to have in the back of the cupboard for those emergency run out of shower gel days and for school fayre donations

And you also get the added bonus of the advantage points!

I wouldn't worry about it. You will only get really personal and unique gifts if you make them yourself of search out unusual little independant shops.

The majority of people shop on the high street so does it really matter if all the gifts come from boots or if some are from M&S, JL etc

Ooh also while I remember if you spend £75 at boots in store or online you get an extra £12 in reward points, so even more of a saving!

Oooh thats a good offer! £12 to spend on me!

Ive just seen on there a lovely little wooden set of dominos but they are Beatrix Potter ones, so I will get those too and put them away for when dd is old enough.

If you're doing it, do it on one of their "for every £50 you spend, get £12 back in points" days. Our local store is having theirs tomorrow.

I am going to buy the VTech digizoom camera (down to £33) and case (£6.66) and some Joules toiletries as stocking fillers which are on 3 for 2 and baby food (Plum is on buy one get the second haldf price) which will get me up to £100. So bargains galore and £24 worth of points all for me to spend on me.
