2.7 yr old DS loves play-doh so i'm looking at getting a set for him but it seems like a bit of a minefield.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've just been looking at the Magic Swirl Ice Cream shop but i don't know if it might be a bit fiddly for him?

We love ice cream shop but ds is 3.5. It takes an adult to actually push the ice cream through as it is quite difficult and children aren't strong enough. It is a bit fiddly and it is a pain for bits of play doh getting stuck in the machine part. I would say 3 ish is probably about the right age.

The best set we have is the sweetie cyclone, which is in the same range. Ds can do this by himself as it requires a handle to be turned rather than play doh to be squeezed through something. No bits of play doh get stuck anywhere in the machine and it actually does everything it is supposed to! It is by far our favourite set, ds likes to see the sweeties roll down the helter skelter part and then likes to push them into the molds to make the shapes. Amazon did have it half price for a while. It is easier to use than the ice cream shop and what you make resembles the pictures on the box, ice cream shop is a bit hit and miss!

We also have the campfire set which is pretty easy to use and my ds likes to pretend to be camping and makes me draw the curtains and sit by the "campfire" with a play doh marshmallow and the torch on!
