DS aged 5 wants a chocolate factory - any ideas?!

My son is rather taken with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, book and film, and all he wants for Christmas is a chocolate factory! Not much then.

I thought I could get a kids choc mould for his stocking but do you know of any decent toys, games, making/baking kits? Any recommendations would be fab.

When they do a poll of those Top 10 useless games the chocolate coin maker is always in there with the Doggy Pooper Scooper and that elephant that wafts butterflies from it's trunk.

What about some nice moulds from Lakeland Limited ?
You can get all shapes (including spoons) that you can add sweets to, or use different chocolate to layer.
Then buy a few bars of milk, white and plain to practice with.

My dd wanted the chocolate coin maker but with all the bad reviews, I picked up chocolate lollipop moulds out of Lakeland, was still a one hit wonder but at a fraction of the cost

It is out of stock at the moment but they expect more stock soon, and it's only £3.99.

Perhaps you could get a chocolate cook book, and some nice chocolate to go with it?

Or he might really have one of those kids chocolate factory/maker type sets.

Sorry, not much help on ideas for chocolate factory apart from to let you know that we bought the evil chocolate coin maker and it got 'used' once and thrown straight in the bin. Useless. Steer well clear.

Lakeland do have some lovely make your own bits, might be worth having a look at putting a package together yourself?

£20 is a lot of money for some chocolate discs, buttons, paintbrushes and pick and mix, I'm an ultra tight though!

Ooh, I just looked harder and saw it only come with 4 actual discs of chocolate! I thought it contained moulds for you to make them over and over. Very misleading having the photo of 9.
I don't think you're tight, i'm not ordering it now! Thanks for saving me £20.

Lakeland has lots of chocolate moulds and they have a chocolate poorer, they also sell the chocolate, so you could make him up a chocolate making kit? I bought the chocolate moulds and dd2 (6) loves melting chocolate and making her own special chocolates.
