Just wondering if everyone can offer some advice. We'd like to buy our two Dss mp3 players for Christmas, but possibly not iPods. The shuffles are an ok price, but i'm not convinced it's even worth paying £40 for the younger ds as he's very good at losing small things in his bedroom. Can anyone recommend a decent mp3 player for less than £40? Thanks.

I've had an older model of this for years. Plays anything I've tried with it, the battery lasts for ages and it's very small and light. I just plug it in to my PC and use Windows Media Player to transfer music on to it. Easy-peasy, simple-pimple.

I got my DCs the version I linked to above with 8GB of storage. The newer one has an additional memory card slot so if you fill it up with music you can just put in an extra memory card to increase the storage capacity. I doubt this will be an issue with my DCs though.

My charge (am a nanny) who is 7 has a samsung MP3 player, I can't remember what model but know it was about £35 in argos.

Hers is pink but it comes in blue, black and green and is really easy to use, also she is forever dropping it but it seems to survive.
