Homemade nativity set

Has anyone done this?

I'm feeling crafty this year. I have lots of wool so thinking crochet, but up for other ideas.

Small table top size, not full on church set up (although have the baby but doubt he'd stay still)

Are you a member of Ravelry? I've seen a pattern that you can buy for a crocheted nativity scene. Am thinking of trying it myself ...

There's an old magazine on Amazon with a crocheted nativity, but out of stock. I wonder if any of the knitting/crochet mags will have a Christmas special?
