DS (13yo) had a Young Drivers lesson - he loved it and looked very confident behind the wheel. So I reckon that will be on his 'Wish List'

DD hasn't mentioned yet. She got a laptop for her birthday (for doing homework as well).
I think she's after a new MP3 Player.

DS1 (age 10) wants Fifa 13 - yes
DS2 (will be 7) wants lots but the one he keeps coming back to is the Super Moshi HQ - less keen as suspect it will be broken by boxing day, probably by DS1 who has a habit of 'lets see what happens if...' Have bought him a set of the Super Moshi figures. Suspect he in reality he will have more fun with those and a box for a HQ. If I see a good offer on the HQ may crack and get it and just ban DS1 from touching it!!

Young Drivers
driving lessons for 11-17 yo.
For someone who is 16-17 (so thinking about driving lessons on the open road) it gives them a chance to drive with an instructor in a dual-control car.
They use an empty car-park, so there's plenty of room, cones, painted 'lines' and the give way signs.
For someone like DS ,it gave him a chance to try something different. (It was his birthday present for last December but we didn't get round to booking it Blush )

It's supposed to reduce the risk of accidents with new drivers and the risks of teen-drivers stealing cars for joy riding (not sure how true that would be TBH)

I didn't fancy taking my DS out to the local Learner Driver place. He's not legal for me to insure and I've heard hair raising tales Shock.
Plus, I value my car ,and my relationship with my DS,

DD (3yo) asked if Santa would bring her a giant purple towel for after her bath.
I'm pretty sure he will manage that. :)

ds hasn't said anything yet, which is odd because he'd picked out his birthday presents for months beforehand Hmm

dd wants a baby that cries and closes it's eyes, and wets itself and opens it's mouth for a dummy (Hmm) - I'm sure we can accommodate most of that.

My mum never tires of telling me how I wanted ' a hairband' for Xmas every year. With the implication that she thinks my ds's are materialistic and grabby! I don't think they are any more than any others I've met!

My girls would both like Sylvanian Family stuff. Sigh. DD2 drew eyebrows onto the cotton tail rabbits (belonging to dd1) a few months ago and it caused a world war three for days.

Dd1 has just turned 8, she requested science stuff so we have g&t her microscope, telescope, big book of science facts and chemistry lab set (for children!) oh and a make your own nail varnish set but that will go in Stocking (main present comes from mummy and daddy, small presents in stockings from Father Christmas and family presents are given after lunch and in laws presents on boxing day when we see them so they are spread out)

Dd2 has been asking for maxi micro scooter since March so given in and ordered it last night, her birthday is 10 days after Christmas so thought we could get her some of the accessories as birthday presents!!

Normally go mad at Christmas and get loads but this year we decided on one main quality present and then fewer stocking. Presents but better quality stuff, as we still have bits I got for stockings last year that haven't been used/played with !!
