What should I get her for Xmas need to get started as have other family to buy for that I'll need to get nearer the time, as I don't know what to get for them either, so thought it'd be easier to start with DD.

My DD is 2 now, last christmas we bought her a kitchen, that is well played with, this year she is getting a dolls house.

She got a playhouse for her birthday.

Other toys that she plays with a lot are:
Happyland
Doll and pushchair
Train set
Cars
Mega blocks and duplo
Books
Jigsaws
Dress up

She has lots of garden toys too, the sandpit is the most played with. NDN's DD has a sand and water table they both love to play with that.

If you think she doesn't need anything then just get her a few token gifts to open and buy her something in a few months when you think she is ready. At her age she will be none the wiser.

I want to get her the kitchen from Ikea but was going to save that for her birthday. Think doll and buggy will be good.

DS will be 15mo. I've bought him a vintage 1980s Raphael Ninja Turtle puppet as he's named after him.

That's it. If he protests about the lack of gifts, I'll giftwrap my breasts.
