Children's Christmas Book Recommendations

After lots of recommendations for Christmas DVDs I think I've narrowed it down to a few and knowing me I'll end up getting them all!!! :)

Now looking for christmas book recommendations for 3.9 year old and 1.9 year old DDs.

I've seen one called Dear Father Christmas which looks lovely. We have The Night Before Christmas and The Grinch who Stole Christmas.

Keen not to spend a fortune, but would like to get 3 or 4 to be reading through December. Any recommendations where to buy (other than amazon) would be great. I can't see loads on the book people yet.

TIA

The Jolly Christmas Postman! Couldn't get it last year, but managed this year, it arrived last week. It's teasing me from the Christams pile, I so want to read it!, ahem I mean DD so wants me to read it!

We also have the Usborne Farmyard tales flap book - called farmyard tales christmas. That was a present, but I should imagine you will be able to buy it all over, the usborne books are so popular. That is a good one for toodlers, not too short or long and with the flaps to lift.

Do you have The Works near you? They often have children's books on offer (sometimes 5 for £5) They are bound to have lots of christmassy themed ones in soon.

DD loved Dear father Christmas last year (aged 4) and I had to read it every night. She took to leaving letters to him herself!
