MamaPizza Sun 01-Dec-13 07:43:28

Happy 1st December grin

Jingle is here, but DS hasn't spotted him yet as he is in his room and DH is sleeping there at the moment. DS came to ours in the middle of the night, so he moved over. Can't wait to see his face when he sees his friend again.

ChestyNut Sat 30-Nov-13 23:25:14

Whoevers on first usually starts a 24 sleeps thread etc until the big day grin

TheOnlySeven Sat 30-Nov-13 20:20:23

Hope it's sorted soon farrow

What are countdown threads?

Can't wait to fill DS advent calendar after dinner. We tell him the elves come and fill it up when we're all asleep, he couldn't get to bed quick enough grin if only it worked on 7mo DD2

I'm having no end of trouble with the laptop at the moment, so you are all going to have to bear with me until I get it sorted out. I'm so sorry.

I hope you are all well and this has all typed out ok (it's so slow it's tkaing forever to do the most simplest of things.)

I'll be on soon, love you all and your preperations. Looking forward to seeing some photos.

Plain paper is available at local markets, so it may bo worth looking there if anyone still needs any.

Anyway, got to get this stupid laptop sorted out, seee you all soon xx

ChestyNut Sat 30-Nov-13 16:33:50

Are we starting countdown threads tomorrow?

Yes will be a blur of cleaning, christmas tree putting up, card writing and wrapping smile

What's jingles plans for tomorrow night?

MamaPizza Sat 30-Nov-13 16:29:47

I need a Christmas jumper grin

Enjoy the time off Chesty. Loads of Christmas preparations in those ten days?

House is clean, Jingle is ready to see daylight again tonight, so excited. DS thinks he is only having a chocolate advent calendar. He will be very happy when he sees Jingle with a Playmobil one tomorrow morning. OMG, I can't really believe it is tomorrow!

TheOnlySeven Sat 30-Nov-13 15:17:56

Mine and DS are both fair-isle with reindeers from eBay. DD1 is red with Rudolph on from tesco smile

ChestyNut Sat 30-Nov-13 14:36:08

Ooooh christmas jumpers? What sort?

No work for ten days here grin

Works christmas party last night was a great night, bit of a sore head today tho.

mama is jingle ready to go?

TheOnlySeven Sat 30-Nov-13 12:18:19

I fell off the thread, both DDs have been miserable with colds this week.

How are everyone's preparations going? We ordered the turkey and ham this week, and we're getting the tree on Tuesday. Me, DS and DD1 are wearing our Christmas jumpers today, I couldn't contain my festive-ness any longer! Can't wait to light the advent candle tomorrow and fill DS advent calendar tonight!

MamaPizza Fri 29-Nov-13 17:07:39

Woohoo Chest grin <wonders if MN is going to start the Christmas smileys this weekend>

My tree is here! Yay!!!

farrowandbawl Fri 29-Nov-13 12:34:14

Yay, congratulations Chesty!

ChestyNut Fri 29-Nov-13 09:50:56

Yay! Guess who's the proud owner of a beautiful yankee advent grin

MamaPizza Thu 28-Nov-13 20:24:58

Thanks for the tip farrow. It won't go up until Sunday, so will have it stand in a bucket from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. I got enough gold, it looks lovely. Getting seriously excited!!!

farrowandbawl Thu 28-Nov-13 17:15:26

Mama, don't forget, you need to saw off a couple of inches at the bottom and let it stand in a bucket of water for a day or so.

I'm dying to put the tree up, but can't just yet, I still need to move a few things around first to make room for the tree in the first place.

farrowandbawl Thu 28-Nov-13 16:20:26

Not yet Mama, I saw some plain gold wrapping paper in Sainsbruy's today and thought of this thread.

MamaPizza Thu 28-Nov-13 16:12:33

Hello, hello, hello!

My tree is on the way, just had the TNT notification. Tomorrow is the day grin. Can't wait to smell it, is yours up now farrow?

Found red paper - in Asda! Only 80 pence per roll, bargain. Have done most of the wrapping now, final presents on their way. Well, I say final, but then again...

Must dash, open evening at school tonight, but I shall be in full Christmas cheer this weekend putting up the tree and getting excited about Jingle's arrival.

giraffeseatpineapples Wed 27-Nov-13 23:09:09

yes thank you, it let me repy too smile...

farrowandbawl Wed 27-Nov-13 21:11:24

Oh, hope you get my one then.
