We went to the zoo today and dd (22 months) spotted a bright pink soft toy penguin which she LOVED! Her favorite toy is a normal colored penguin and he comes everywhere with us but he was ditched in favour of this pink horror. She cuddled it and looked so happy when it was time to leave I told her we had to leave it in the shop and she was very upset and had a little cry but was so good about it and we left. Ne and Dp are very adamant we don't want to spoil her and the rule is if she has a day out she doesn't get a present cos the day out is special not a gift at the end and even though it broke my heart I stuck to it.... However I asked my brother to sneak back and buy it to go in her stocking! I can imagine how pleased she will be as she has talked about the 'pink penguin' since we left the zoo. Now I feel all warm and fuzzy and like a proper Santa making Christmas all magical and lovely for Dd. Feel free to share your magical Christmas moments as I am in the spirit and an over emotional pg lady....

Aww! She'll love it! And be so pleased that Santa remembered! Grin

My DS (20months) brought home his first painting from Nursery today... When I asked him what it was he said 'mo mo treeee' which translates to 'mummies christmas tree'!!! GrinGrinGrin

Marking my place, hoping to have lots of lovely moments to read in the morning, and have a good cry with a cuppa Grin
