Boots had peppa pig hand warmers in. They were an odd price - £5.06 or some such odd number! Those ones that you use and then boil in water to recharge for next time.

sainsburys has those soft toy animal wheat bags that you heat in the microwave for £5. I think they were reduced from £10.

Thanks for all of the great ideas - I really like the sticker book idea for the 3 year old, I'll read the other suggestions again for the 5 year old Smile.

Hmm, I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time / opportunity to shop before the big day . I was kindof hoping to get away with an Amazon order Grin.

I just bought Home Alone 1 & 2 on DVD for 5 pounds from Morrisons. ALso Just So Stories audio book from Amazon is 4.49. Both would be OK for 5 year old. Or Star Wars Heroes sticker book (2.49 from Amazon) . And I saw some great books on lions and such like in the 99p Shop.

I just brought these for my 6yo ds, 4yo ds and 15mo dd

They are slightly more at £7.99 but I think they are something my kids would love.

My children love slinky
4 years on it is still loved, to the extent that ours is warped and I am bowing to requests to replace it.

A slinky is a great idea, but I worry that they might already have one.

So far, I've decided on a sticker book for the 3 year old, and a solar powered dancing flower for the 5 year old. So, in the interests of fairness, now I need a £3.50 present idea for a 3 year old boy.

Thank you so much for all of the ideas do far, I'd hit a wall before this!

Today, I bought A sylvanian family DVD + character in Toys R US for £5 for my 5 year old DD.

They also had micro pets there reduced to £3 (so you could add a book to that - they had them for £2).

If you can go to Sainsbury's - have just bought the Muppet Christmas Carol with Muppet Treasure Island for £5.

They had loads of things for a fiver or below.

Only one left to buy for the 3.5 yr old boy? Hawkins Bazaar crazy Foam soap is £2.50 and absolutely genius.
Smells great, like shaving foam that you can actually mould...makes great snowballs...my 4 yr old and 2.5 ADORE it....it's such great fun...
