Seeking Christmas karma: just did iced homemade biscuits for ExPil.....

My DD is 15. She has not organised her Christmas according to her father's wishes. This weekend she is with her brother at their father's. Apparently they were meant to take presents for the paternal grandma and grandad, but she hadn't got them anything yet. I gather that this was not welcomed by her father, because ...

She knew that I had baked ginger biscuits to decorate as presents, and texted me to ask if she could please come and get some. (The Ex lives a mile or so away.)

I said yes and spent hours decorating them with icing, festive bits and edible glitter, providing a box, extra sweets, ribbon wrapping and a naice bag.

Is this act of any use whatsoever in the great cosmic scheme of things?

p.s. my kids (14 and 15) are starting to realise their dad is a bit anal.

Of course it will be.... although in my experience the universe is a bit of a cantakerous old so and so and may not show its gratitude for a bit.... !

I particularly enjoyed the part where I iced out 'grandma' and 'grandad' with my teeth gritting.

Thank you, helter and Kinky.

I bet Kirsty Allsop doesn't grit her teeth. I can imagine her clenching her lacquered hair, though.

No, planet, I did them nicely like a Good Girl. I didn't even spit on them.
